Welcome to Don Bosco Technical Institute, Ashaiman

Don Bosco Technical Institute (DBTI), Ashaiman, is a non-profit Christian institution, established in 1999 to serve young people according to the precepts of the Catholic Church and the spirit of St. John Bosco. It is managed by the Salesians of Don Bosco, under an agreement with the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra.
For over 27 years, DBTI has provided employment-linked, market-oriented skills training of short duration to the economically and socially marginalised addressing unemployment and the lack of skilled manpower with a market-based approach sensitive to the needs of Ghana’s less privileged youth. Today the Institute runs focused, hands-on one-year training programmes in Electrical, Hospitality/Catering, Refrigeration/Air-Conditioning, Cosmetology, and Automobile trades plus a Driving School, Solar Training, and ICT short courses serving school-leavers, job-transitioners, university graduates upgrading their skills, and industry professionals alike. Every trainee, regardless of programme, receives grounding in basic ICT and Soft Skills alongside their technical training reflecting DBTI’s belief that a trade is only as strong as the whole person behind it.
